Are You Ready For Your Soul Mate

In love we often use the word “soul mate” to describe our significant other. However, soul mates it’s a term use to describe two souls that have reincarnated together from past lives. The soul mate term is also referred as the “other half.” According to the belief we all have that special person that completes us. Without our significant other we are not whole and will not be truly happy until we join one another. Wait a minute, did I just write this? Yeah I did, but only to help you switch your focus. Why? You may be wandering, I honestly believe that in the quest for your “other half” you maybe missing out on other important matters. A perfect example would be that you maybe missing “yourself.”

To make things clear, I am not saying that this soul mate notion is a lie. However, I can not assure you that there is one either. So, what should you do? Embark on a self-knowledge journey. Analyze yourself, get to know your likes and dislikes, unlock your heart desires. Things have a weird way of working out, so you may bump in to your soul mate without doing much effort (especially if you have the same interests). Besides how would you recognize if he/she is the “one” for you, when you have no idea of who you really are?

I know that love is a beautiful emotion and we all have to experience it in order to, encounter one of the greatest joys. But, pairing up with another person is just one of the aspects of our lives. What about reaching your goals, being happy with yourself, enjoying life in general etc? These are all important aspects of your lives as well so, focusing on one thing maybe preventing you from experiencing the other joys. Besides don’t you want to be the best person possible for your soul mate? You can not get to know yourself better or experience much growth if, all you are doing is waiting for someone to come in to your life and be happily ever after!

Not only is it unrealistic but, it is also extremely boring. Even from the reincarnation aspect. According to their principle, our main purpose in this material plane is to work on improving our spiritual being. So, whether you believe or not on the whole soul mate term, make sure that you do not place all your eggs in one basket. Life is too short to take it for granted.
