I loved this girl more than anything. She then got pregnant!
We moved in with my father who lived in the same town we lived in. My
father was very supportive and also loved our music that we were
producing. The baby was born, and then shortly after, we released our album
with a big album release party and were super excited. Now I had been
with this girl since I was 16, and she basically watched me grow up. She
taught me things, and we talked about growing old with one another. The
summer came, it was 2000. We now had this album that we produced and we
spent a lot of money getting it produced, buying equipment,
manufacturing it, etc. So it was common knowledge that someone had to put in extra
effort into promoting this thing that we done made.
We had decided that I would work on the album, because Kerri had to put
all of her energy into our newborn baby, Jimmy. At the same time, I
wasnÕt able to do a lot for my Newborn baby, Jimmy because at that age, a
newborn baby needs his mother to breastfeed, etc. So we would do a
normal schedule, where I would be in the studio during the day, and Kerri
would be upstairs during the day. Then after a day of hard work, we
would spend time together as a family.
I also had clients, that I would record, clients that rapped and sung,
and needed me to record their music. I would be paid nicely and things
were pretty good, (Except for the fact we were in my fatherÕs house.)
One of my clients, Henry, offered his services to me, and he made it
clear that he would work for free because he believed KerriÕs musical
project & me.
Henry would come over every day at 10 AM and we would call record
labels, design flyers, produce music videos, etc. He would push me to add
new projects and it was great to have that support and guidance.
Kerri began to feel left out. She would come downstairs and distract
Henry and would make the environment a hectic one.
Arguments would begin, and before you know it, there was some very
strange energy.
Out of the blue, Kerri announced that she was moving out.
At first I thought she was just freaking out from all the stress, but I
soon understood that this was in fact for real.
What had happened, was this young man Henry had been working on her
upstairs for a month. He gave her attention, and became that someone in
her life that she felt she could depend on. Since she already did not
have much of a foundation (Dating a 16 yr old at 22) she was very prone to
this type of situation.
