People live what they have learned. If children live with criticism, they learn to criticize. What does this mean to you as an adult? If you have lived, and are living, with criticism, what is in your mind? Criticism. What will come out of your mind? Criticism. What if you are happy? What will come out of your mind? Happiness, right? Ah, doesn't that feel better? To put it another way, if you squeeze a lemon, what will you get? Apple juice? I don't think so. If children are abused mentally or physically, they grow up with fear. If children live with fear, they'll be at the end of every line. If you are mentally or physically abusive to adults as well as children, they will be afraid of you. If you think this is what you want, think again. In order to contribute to society in a way that is mutually beneficial to all, *and that is the plan, isn't it?* you must treat people in a manner that will elevate their minds so they can contribute to society in a way that will make you and them proud. Right? If children live with tolerance, they learn to be patient. If you are patient with children, with extended members of your family, with your co-workers, they will be patient with you. What goes around, comes around. And doesn't that feel terrific? *** Remember this: If you are patient with your children, they are learning to be patient with others now, AND in the future -- their patience with others includes you, now . . . AND in your old age. Think about it. Makes sense, doesn't it? *** If children live with praise, they learn to stand alone and lead their parade, even if it's raining. If you live with praise, you KNOW you can succeed. People *live* what they have learned. What are you teaching people?
