If you are planning a large wedding in a popular city or location, have you thought about wedding crashers? Wedding crashers are complete strangers who show up at the church or reception and neither the bride nor groom knows them. You may want to be prepared because one or several could show up at your reception and make a scene or take advantage of the free food and drinks.
There are a variety of different types of wedding crashers. Some are very harmless, for instance, the grooms younger brother’s best friend who was not invited. However, there are people who may be complete strangers to everyone and simply get a kick out of crashing weddings to see if they can get away with it as a prank.
However, there is a classification of harmful wedding crashers who are there to disrupt the event. They may be an old girlfriend or boyfriend, or a crazy family member who is intent on destroying the party and possibly harming someone. If you are planning your wedding and have an inkling that this is a possibility, you may want to have a security guard or several guards there in case, a crasher shows up and is threatening and destructive.
You may have a guest there that you have invited that ends up being a wedding crasher. For instance, Uncle Louey who drinks too much and causes a raucous and makes a scene. Once again, you might want to be prepared for something like this.
Hopefully, this will not happen to you but, there are thieves. There are people who have been known to crash wedding receptions to steal gifts. So, make sure you have something at the gift table at all times or at the very least keep an eye out.
